French Soccer star Kylian Mbappe has announced he will depart from Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) at the end of the season.

“I’ve always said that I would speak with you when the time comes. I wanted to announce to you all that it’s my last year at Paris Saint-Germain,” said Mbappe in a social media post. “I will not extend (my contract), and the adventure will come to an end in a few weeks. I will play my last game at Parc des Princes.”

Mbappe, 25, is recognized as one of the world’s best soccer players.

At the 2018 FIFA World Cup, which France won, he was named the best young player.

Over his last seven seasons at PSG, Mbappe scored 255 goals in 306 games for PSG. This season, Kylian has scored 26 goals in 28 Ligue 1 matches, making it his fourth straight year with 25+ goals in Ligue matches.

Led by the French superstar, PSG is first in the Ligue 1 rankings with 70 points and has already clinched the title ahead of Monaco, which is in second place with 61 points.

This gives PSG their sixth title during Mbappe’s tenure.

“I have a lot of emotions,” he said. “Many years when I had the chance and the great honour to be a member of the biggest French club. One of the best in the world, which allowed me to arrive here and have my first experience in a club with a lot of pressure. To grow as a player by being alongside some of the best (players) in history. Some of the greatest champions…”

Last summer, Saudi Arabian soccer club Al-Hilal was reportedly set to make a one-year, $1.1 billion offer to the French star, which included a $332 million transfer fee for PSG and a $776 million salary for Mbappe.

While that hasn’t come to fruition yet, the rumor is that he will sign with Real Madrid, although there are murmurings of Liverpool and Arsenal being in the conversation.

Now, the world eagerly awaits his decision.
