Steph Curry showed out in front of his hometown crowd in the Bay Area to win the 2025 All-Star Game and All-Star Game MVP.
In the final game, Curry scored 12 points all from the three-point line, including one from half-court.
It improved on his performance against Candace Parker’s Rising Stars team, where he scored eight points on 3-9 shooting.
At this year’s All-Star weekend, held in San Francisco California at the Chase Center, home of the Golden State Warriors, Shaq’s OGs, led by Curry and Celtics’ star Jayson Tatum, dominated the competition and ultimately beat Charles Barkley’s Global Stars in the championship game, 41-25.
Curry, 36, won his second All-Star game MVP, his coming in 2022 after scoring 50 points in the game.
The greatest shooter the game has ever seen, Curry’s win in this year’s All-Star Game had special meaning as it was in front of his hometown fans and it came against the international stars of the league, reminding everyone that the U.S. still dominates the game despite the rhetoric saying the world has caught up, and even passed, the U.S. in talent.
With players like Jokic, Giannis, Luka, Shai, and Wembanyamama, that’s a fair claim to make.
Yet Curry and Tatum refused to lose.
Tatum added 15 points on 6-7 shooting the field, which included going 3-4 from the three-point line.
While Tatum won the NBA title last year, Curry has four championships and multiple MVPs, so while they combined to win the All-Star Game, Curry isn’t relinquishing his position as one of the best in the NBA regardless of his age.
This year’s All-Star game showcased all the amazing talent in the NBA but also kept the spotlight on Curry after another amazing shooting performance.
And he’s still got a lot left in the tank.
