He will focus on building the team&#8217;s roster while Winger oversees Monumental&#8217;s basketball roster which consists of the Wizards, the Mystics and its G League team, Capital City Go-Go.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dawkins now becomes the number 2 executive in the Wizards organization according to The Athletic&#8217;s David Aldridge and Josh Robbin who broke the story.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">The Washington Wizards will hire OKC executive Will Dawkins as their No. 2 executive, a league source tells @davidlaldridgedc and me.<\/p>&mdash; Josh Robbins (@JoshuaBRobbins) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/JoshuaBRobbins\/status\/1665811249903329282?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">June 5, 2023<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;Will Dawkins is one of the NBA&#8217;s top up and comers, another out of the Sam Presti shop,&#8221; <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/davidaldridgedc\/status\/1665825826338906113\">tweeted David Aldridge<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sam Presti, the EVP and GM of the Thunder, is a true identifier and developer of talent.
