{"id":4912,"date":"2023-04-07T12:52:06","date_gmt":"2023-04-07T16:52:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/firstandpen.com\/staging\/5861\/?p=4912"},"modified":"2023-04-07T12:52:28","modified_gmt":"2023-04-07T16:52:28","slug":"dallas-mavericks-reggie-bullock-bought-an-island-in-belize-for-2-million","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/firstandpen.com\/staging\/5861\/dallas-mavericks-reggie-bullock-bought-an-island-in-belize-for-2-million\/","title":{"rendered":"Mavericks&#8217; Reggie Bullock Bought An Island In Belize For $2 Million"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Many athletes get into real estate and purchase homes for their families or as investments, but Reggie Bullock just topped them all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Mavericks guard\/forward bought an island in Belize as a vacation spot for his friends and family and named it &#8220;Bullock Caye.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The five-acre, $2 million island was actually purchased last year by Bullock, but the news of his purchase just went viral within the last 24 hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI\u2019ve been looking for different things to invest my money in,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/andscape.com\/features\/mavericks-reggie-bullock-has-a-passion-for-social-justice-and-island-investments\/\">Bullock told Andscape&#8217;s Marc Spears last May<\/a>. \u201cI found an opportunity down in Belize where I purchased an island that was about five acres that I am going to put resort villas on. It\u2019s a vacation spot for me and my family where other people will be able to attend and enjoy different vacation activities.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bullock aims to use the island as a vacation destination with rental villas, a restaurant\/bar, a basketball court and other amenities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But even more importantly, he uses it as an educational lesson for his son, Treyson, about ownership and building generational wealth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And that&#8217;s a lesson we could all learn from.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Many athletes get into real estate and purchase homes for their families or as investments, but Reggie Bullock just topped them all.
