While Apostolopoulos also submitted a $6 billion bid, Fertitta, per Sports Illustrated, has submitted a bid of $5.5 billion.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>CBS Sports also reports that a fourth, mystery bidder has emerged but hasn&#8217;t been named. <\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Also in the mix is Jeff Bezos, who Snyder has reportedly blocked from the bidding process. But that might not stop Bezos.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>The Josh Harris-led group is making their second attempt to purchase an NFL team. <\/p><div id=\"first-1595696909\" class=\"first-content first-entity-placement\"><!-- \/22950135888\/FAP_Article_Leaderboard_Instream2 -->\r\n<div id='div-gpt-ad-1700413625220-0' style='min-width: 300px; min-height: 90px;'>\r\n  <script>\r\n    googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display('div-gpt-ad-1700413625220-0'); });\r\n  <\/script>\r\n<\/div><\/div>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Last year that group, which also featured Magic Johnson, made a bid for the Denver Broncos before <a href=\"https:\/\/firstandpen.com\/staging\/5861\/walmart-heir-rob-walton-wins-denver-broncos-with-4-6-billion-bid\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">they were eventually outbid by the Walton-Penner group<\/a>. The latter also featured two powerful, successful Black women in Mellody Hobson, co-CEO of Ariel Investments, and <a href=\"https:\/\/firstandpen.com\/staging\/5861\/former-secretary-of-state-condoleezza-rice-joins-broncos-ownership-group\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">former Secretary of State, Condoleezza Rice<\/a>. They were later joined by <a href=\"https:\/\/firstandpen.com\/staging\/5861\/f1-star-lewis-hamilton-joins-denver-broncos-ownership-group\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">F1 champion, Lewis Hamilton.<\/a> <\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>This would be Magic&#8217;s latest foray into team ownership. He has stakes in the WNBA&#8217;s Los Angeles Sparks and MLS&#8217;s LAFC. He also put up $50 million of his own money to own a piece of the Dodgers, which sold for over $2 billion.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>At $6 billion, the sale of the Commanders would become the most expensive team sale in history, eclipsing the Broncos ($4.65 billion) and Phoenix Suns ($4 billion).
