Charles Barkley is one of the main reasons why “NBA on TNT” has remained the number one NBA-focused show on television.

Today, he was rewarded for his hard work.

Per the NY Post, Charles Barkley and TNT have agreed to a new 10-year contract worth over $100 million.

Barkley has three years remaining on his current deal. It pays him $10 million per season and expires after the NBA’s 2024-25 season, which is also when Turner’s current deal with the league ends. If Turner doesn’t keep the NBA, Barkley could take his services to a new partner.

But based on the network’s ratings success of both the show and NBA games, it’s highly unlikely that Turner would walk away from the NBA.

The 59-year-old Hall of Famer had previously said that he wanted to retire by 60. But with his new contract, and with fellow show hosts Shaquille O’Neal, Ernie Johnson and Kenny Smith already signing new deals, that will definitely not be happening.

Congrats Charles!
