By Signing Odell Beckham, The Rams Are Really All In All In

Odell Beckham didn’t take too much time to decide his next team of choice as he is heading west to the LA Rams.

A few days after Cleveland and Beckham ended their tortuous relationship, he cleared waivers and became a free agent.

Today the Rams swooped in and signed Odell to a one-year deal.

Rumors swirled that he was interested in the Packers, Rams and Saints, but LA won out in the end.

The talented receiver languished in Cleveland, posting career lows in receptions, yards and TDs.

He fought through multiple obstacles during his tenure with the Browns including injuries and a disastrous Freddie Kitchens-led team in 2019. A year later he tore his ACL and this season he hurt his shoulder and was essentially nonexistent.

Fans begged Cleveland to free Odell Beckham, even creating a #FreeOBJ hashtag.

The team finally granted the divorce and OBJ fans were relieved.

Ironically, Beckham’s decision falls on the same day that another popular free agent, Cam Newton, announced that he rejoined the Carolina Panthers, also on a one-year deal.

Cam’s path to success is cleared as Sam Darnold has proved to be who everyone said he was (bad) and P.J. Walker is still unproven.

But in LA, things are a little more crowded.

Last week, the team made it clear they were all in this year when they traded for Broncos’ star, Von Miller.

They let DeSean Jackson walk and now add Beckham to a receiving corps that already includes Cooper Kupp and Robert Woods.

Kupp leads the league in receptions, yards and TDs and is on a torrid pace to break receiving records.

With Beckham in the mix, his record-setting season might suffer a setback. But if they win the Super Bowl, we’re more than sure that Kupp wouldn’t mind.

The 7-2 Rams trail the Arizona Cardinals by 1 game in the NFC West.

More importantly for the 29-year-old Beckham, this is his chance to resurrect his career after three terrible seasons with the Browns.

And while he will have to share time and the ball again with two top receivers, he’s got to be extremely thankful that he’s out of Cleveland and playing under the bright lights of SoFi Stadium.
