Andre Ward has many titles to his name including champion, analyst and boxing Hall of Famer. This week he added another title to his resume.
Chief Content Officer.
The Olympic Gold Medalist and two-division unified world champion was named the Chief Content Officer of All The Smoke Fight (ATS Fight), the new combat sports vertical from All The Smoke Productions.
“I am proud to join the All The Smoke Productions family,” said Ward in a statement. “and I am committed to building on the foundation laid by Matt, Brian and the team. In this new media space, current, former, active and retired athletes from all walks of life can express themselves, share their stories and open up to fellow athletes and those that can truly relate. ALL THE SMOKE PRODUCTIONS is a place where the athlete can, and always will, keep it 100 percent real. It is also a place that shows the respect and appreciation for the athlete, perhaps, unlike anywhere else.”
After winning gold in 2004, Ward turned pro and went on to become a unified world champion in both the super middleweight and light heavyweight divisions. He retired in 2017 with a perfect 32-0 record and started working as a boxing analyst and commentator. His media career grew quickly and he became a valued and trusted voice in the sport.
Now he’ll help grow the ATS Fight brand, which was launched in June, through features and exclusive interviews, like his first sitdown with undefeated champion Terence “Bud” Crawford. Ward and ATS Fight traveled to Colorado Springs to speak with, arguably, the best in boxing today, as he prepares for his August 3rd bout against WBA Super Welterweight World Champion Israil Madrimov.
Having a boxing Hall of Famer leading the platform’s content was a big move for the brand and founders Matt Barnes and former Showtime Sports executive Brian Daley.
