Alianza de Futbol, the largest Hispanic soccer program in America, had a record turnout of over 3,000 youth players and 15,000 fans at Randalls Island in New York this weekend.

The 10-city U.S. tour will give these young players a chance to be seen by officials from MLS, NWSL and the Mexican League, with both professional development and college scholarships on the line.

The growing program is supported by partners including Verizon, Allstate, Ford, Adidas and Univision.

“Alianza de futbol is helping change the lives of thousands of young Hispanic kids by giving them an opportunity to be seen, and by showing a path to a career in and out of soccer that they may not have known about, this event has really impacted so many in the Tri-state area this weekend, and will continue to grow not just here, but across the country,” added Eduardo Ruiz, Alianza de Futbol Executive Director.

Halfway through the 10 cities now, the current edition aims to be one of the largest in its entire history.

In addition to having the presence of different figures and legends of Mexican futbol, such as Carlos ‘Maestro’ Reynoso, who participated as a coach in the Houston session, Luis ‘Matador’ Hernández, Oribe Peralta and Pavel Pardo are other special guests who have adorned the grandstands of the Ford Copita Alianza and Verizon Copa Alianza tournaments.

More than 60 coaches from the Alianza community have presented themselves in the 5 stages, who, by the way, were given a certificate for their participation and benefits for their preparation as coaches (discounts on Coachbetter, platform to improve strategist skills and Soccer Elite , master’s degree in soccer coaching).Â
