Tracy McGrady’s Ones Basketball League (OBL) is quickly approaching the start of league play, and they’ve now unveiled the full list of team GMs and team players.
The league, which begins game play on May 15th, consists of eight teams led by celebrities and former athletes. They are:
Team Orlando- Vince Carter
Team Washington, DC – Quinn Cook
Team Miami – Tim Hardaway Sr.
Team New York – Jadakiss
Team Chicago – Larenz Tate
Team Raleigh – John Wall
Team Atlanta – Jaylen Brown
Team Baltimore – Muggsy Bogues
Each team consists of four players selected by the team GM, the captains and with input from McGrady. The 32 players have a wealth of experience, hailing from DI, DII, DIII, the G League and overseas.
Some of the bigger names include: Chris Allen, who played at Michigan St., Iowa St., in the G League and internationally; former Loyola Baltimore star Dylon “DC3” Cormier; former South Alabama Jaguars and Sun Belt Conference star Isaiah “Zae” Moore; Howard University’s all-time leading scorer James “Byrd” Daniel and former Marquette University star, Darius “DJO” Johnson Odom.
The league, which launched in 2022 but took a hiatus in order to reconfigure its operations and secure additional funding, is now back with “OBL: Battle of the Cities”.
Play takes place from May 15th – June 30th in Orlando, FL.
