All football fans know about Micah Parsons’ success on the field for the Dallas Cowboys, but some might be unaware of the success he’s having off the field in media.

On Tuesday, Parsons and Bleacher Report (B/R) agreed to a historic multiyear extension that not only keeps his podcast “The Edge” at the company but also makes him the President of B/R Gridiron.

That, according to B/R, makes him the “first active professional athlete to hold a leadership title at a sports media company.”

“Working with Bleacher Report on ‘The Edge’ has given me the desire to want to share my view of the game even more,” said Parsons in a statement. “Being able to create something dynamic for fans alongside a content team like B/R Gridiron, is a chance for me to flex different muscles than the ones I’m using each week on the field, plus it will just be fun.”

The new deal creates more collaboration opportunities between the 3x Pro Bowler and the media company, including developing new content and designing merchandise for “2.5 million cross-platform followers.”

It also strengthens Bleacher Report’s current stable of podcasts, which includes shows hosted by LA Dodgers star Mookie Betts and Atlanta Hawks star Trae Young.

“This opportunity is bigger than me! @brgridiron is allowing me to build a plat form where younger athletes can now start building towards their future, and be able to use their voice!! NFL= not for long!! Don’t wait until it’s too late!!,” posted Parsons on X/Twitter.

Similar to Micah Parsons’ mindset on the field, this new deal with B/R shows he isn’t waiting for success off of it.

Instead, he’s taking it.
